| Sellers regret | | Pub Date: Tue, 02 Sep 2008 10:00:00 EST | | |
Seller’s regret or flashbacks to offers past is a new condition which is a result of the past culture of constantly rising real estate value and prices. This affects many sellers who either bought before or during the housing boom and over the years have received offers close to the asking price, but declined it in hopes of receiving a higher offer. Unfortunately, many of these sellers waited too long to accept an offer and with the property values much lower than 3 years ago, they wish they had accepted the offer because it is higher than any offer they are receiving in today’s market. For lucky homeowners, especially those who bought their homes long ago (way before the housing boom) at a bargain, the current losses haven’t erased the gains they experienced. |
